I remember as a child at primary school in London having to write an essay on that classic topic, “What I want to be when I grow up.” I wrote that I wanted to be an author. It never happened but I have always enjoyed reading and writing and still write paper letters to friends in the UK. reating stories gives me much enjoyment and lets my mind wander wherever it wants. Creating characters not like me, doing things I probably wouldn’t do, great fun. The Waitakere Writers Group is a great place to meet like minded people and to enjoy being in the moment, listening to others read their latest pieces and wonder at our powerful imaginations.
