Roger has just started work after leaving school in a large firm with a wide variety of people. Roger is clever and intelligent but has been brought up in a very closed family with strict behavioral standards. His father rules with an iron fist and among his many rules are an absolute prohibition on gambling. The social club at Roger’s new workplace includes a lotto circle to which nearly everyone contributes a weekly amount and Roger, wanting to be one of the crowd joins the circle, occasionally scoring a small dividend which he never mentions to his family. Then one week they hit the big one and everyone is due for something over a million. Roger is as ecstatic as he is horrified.

Write a story telling how he attempts to reconcile the various parts of the dilemma he faces.
